The aim of this course is that you connect with your emotions, learn how to identify your feelings, where your trauma has come from and find an outlet to help you heal and continue with your life. Throughout this course, you’ll be encouraged to discover new ways of writing and ease you into the topics that unearth deeper emotions.

I’ll introduce you to writing to heal and give you all the information you need to progress with the course. We look into why writing is important, why it can be one of the best ways for us to learn more about ourselves, and how we can use it to find the meaning, cause and understanding of our emotions.

I will take you through many different writing methods for you to explore and find the medium that suits you and how to get it all down on paper. I prompt you along the way so don’t worry about running out of steam!

You’ll go into more depth on a topic and method of your choice. You write and write, and then analyse all that you’ve written to help you gain understanding, closure and the ability to begin your healing journey outside of the course.

Why am I qualified to guide you?

I believe that you can’t teach anything better than after you’ve experienced it yourself. Once you’ve endured and learned, you can then choose whether to pass on any advice from your experience. 

I studied Creative Writing at University where I learned the inner depths of speaking from the deepest parts of yourself. 

Writing helped me to heal. It helped me to make sense of what I was thinking and feeling and to come up with my own solutions. 

Studying writing in most of its forms opened my eyes to the different ways that we can express ourselves and helped me to truly understand what I was putting onto paper. 

Before I was diagnosed with a mental health condition, I had no idea what was going on in my head. Until I learned how to open my mind to writing and letting it all pour out. 

I began to write in so many different forms and I found a new way to heal from all the things I thought I was going to live with forever.
